should we legalise weed?
rules if it is legalised: have to be 20 or older to purchase and be able to grow the substance, aloud to grow two plants per person (20 or older), can buy up to 14 grams of cannabis per day only from licensed outlets.
purpose of the legalisation: raising awareness of the health risks that come with consuming the substance, restricting young peoples access to the substance, providing access to legal cannabis that is high quality and meets potency requirements, controlling access to cannabis, reducing the harm associated with taking the substance, promotes the well being of New Zealanders, reduces the harms associated with cannabis use, reduces overall use of weed over time.
illegal parts to it: consuming the substance in public, getting more than 14 grams, growing more plants than the limit ( 2 per person,4 per household), exposing/selling people under 20 the cannabis, importing and/or exporting cannabis,
general provision: minimum age- 20, possession limit in a public place – 14 grams, daily purchase limit – 14 grams, social sharing li it – 14 grams, restriction on places of consumption, taxes go towards health and education, better outcomes for Maori – improvements in health and justice and economical development, no cannabis in public spaces.
